NSFAS BURSARY

The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) is a government-funded initiative that provides financial assistance to undergraduate students in South Africa, helping them cover the costs of tertiary education .The Financial Aid Scheme has officially opened the 2025 application period. NSFAS funding is highly sought-after as it covers more than just tuition fees and a range of courses.

To qualify for NSFAS funding, you must:

– Be a South African citizen with a valid ID number
– Have a combined household income of R350,000 or less per year
– Be seeking to study or already studying at a university or TVET college in South Africa
– Not have a previous qualification (with some exceptions for postgraduate courses)

You can Apply for NSFAS through:

– Website: https://www.nsfas.org.za/

NSFAS applications must be submitted online using the myNSFAS website. To apply, prospective students will need to create a myNSFAS account, then click on the ‘Apply’ tab and complete the online form, upload the required documents where applicable and then click on ‘Submit’.

Applicants are reminded to provide the correct Identity Document (ID) numbers, name(s), and surname, as reflected in their South African ID.
